Change management is just about as hot a topic these days as the impending presidential election (and trust me, I’d rather discuss change management techniques!) It was just a few years back that I attended at two day seminar on Change Management and the lessons I learned have been as valuable as almost any other class I’ve ever taken, Drivers Ed excluded. We live in a whirlwind of technology, diversity, and a global landscape that is ever changing due to not only political changes but also environmental changes and natural disasters that have long ranging impacts. So we have a responsibility to prepare ourselves to deal with these changes and to lead others along the way.
Typically when we talk about change management we emphasize things like
communication, education, training, and trust.
These are all key elements to successfully leading a team through any
kind of change, big or small. Of course
when we talk about leading an organization through one of the biggest changes
of all—becoming a proactive, rather than reactive facility, we had better be on
our A-game, prepped with all the tools and creativity we can muster.
As our keynote presentation at this year’s Ultrasound World, Corporate
Maintenance Manager at ERCO Worldwide, Cliff Williams, will present, “Creatingthe Environment for Moving from Reactive to Proactive.” He’ll kick off Ultrasound World VIII
with new and creative ways to lead your organization through change and he’ll
also cover the new challenges you’ll face as a result, arming participants with
the strategies they need to be successful.
I am always fascinated when lessons learned in my professional life can so
easily translate to my personal life. It’s
like getting twice the bang for your buck—so take advantage and join us at
Ultrasound World this May!
